Thanks to everyone who braved the icy roads to come out for the “So You Think You Can Shop” market night at Bearspaw Elementary School. This was my 3rd year participating in the fundraiser, and by far was the most successfull market night yet! This is great, the more successfull I am, the more I donate back to the school.
Lots of shiny Christmas presents were bought last night! Was one for you???

Whew! What a long, yet successfull weekend at the BEYOND an Artisan Marketplace. It was a media filled weekend, as my jewelry was featured on Global TV on Saturday morning, and in The Calgary Herald on Sunday! Gotta get my hands on some of those releases so I can share them here.

Well, it’s the end of day one, sitting at home, drinking a celebration glass of sangria! Yum! A slowish night, but good sales, so hopefully tomorrow brings a lot more people through the doors! I have some new neighbors, and the artwork is great all around.
Tonight I saw 2 Radiant Hardwear pieces being worn around! It just is so freaking cool to see someone rocking your designs!!! LOVE IT!
I sold a few of my favorite pieces tonight….always sad….but rewarding to know someone else has great taste like me! lol

Well, the countdown is over! The BEYOND show starts today at 4.
I think I have enough jewelry, if not I guess I know what I will be doing nights this weekend during the show!

In my push to make as many pieces as possible before this weekends show, I am finding myself running low on some of the necessities! I am having to improvize, which sometimes gets good results, sometimes….well, sometimes not so much! In other words I have spent a considerable amount of time making and remaking today! AHHHHH! You would think by now that I would know what findings I like to use and order a surplus before a show……
When this happens I turn to Rio Grande. They are based in New Mexico, and amazingly enough, oders almost always come the next day! It is so great, and UPS is definately my favorite, as they deliver late into the day. Needless to say I have recieved a few overnight packages from Rio these past few weeks…..
Today I went to check out the new stores in Chinook. I was in BCBG when I saw a sliver of silver peak out a jacket on a familliar face. I thought I’d seen the woman before, and it was confirmed when I saw around her neck a custom piece of jewelry that I made a few weeks back! Although she was not a stranger, it still felt sooo cool to see someone wearing a Radiant Hardwear piece! Well, someone who was not my mom…or my friends!!! AWESOME!!! She said she wore it all the time, that she passed on my website to her friends,and that made me feel terrific!
Wow! I can not believe there are only 3 days left until the BEYOND show! I think I have almost everything ready, although I am going to make some more pieces…..just in case!!!

Taking great photos is tough. Taking great photos of jewelry is even toughter. Getting angles, lighting and composition right, is just not my cup of tea. I am truly a point and shoot girl! In order to catalogue my work, I have been working with a very talented friend of mine, Jessica Harcombe Fleming. She captures the essence of my jewelry with ease, and is a perfectionist in the editing process. The photos of the jewelry pieces leading up to the Beyond Marketplace, are examples of some of her work. These shots are almost totally in their natural form, minimal editing has been done. (I was impatient and wanted to post them, so after some arm twisting, she let me have them unedited!) Check out her facebook link below to get a better look at some of her amazing photographs. Her specialty is natural light portraits, and as you will see she definately has a keen eye.
