The Miss Matched Earring. Hot trend or excuse to go shopping?

Some might argue that wearing miss matched earrings is a fun way to individualize your earring collection: to re-invent all the “single” earrings you did not have the heart to part with. I know the feeling, I have many “one ofs” in my earring collection as well.  And really, what do you do with them???

Mix and match: Create your own style!  I think that things that come as a pair should stay as a pair….like a great pair of shoes. Lets be honest for a moment. Lets say you indulge in a pair of red leather Manolo Blahniks. You loose one. Would you really pair it with a red Converse sneaker? Would this be considered “creative” or “fashionable”?

Call me old school, call me classic…call me crazy! I think that if you have a whole lotta “one of” earrings, that is as good an excuse as any to get out there and buy yourself some new ones!

Don’t get me wrong, I am all for reusing and recycling these precious pieces of jewelry. Perhaps a necklace or charm bracelet: something interesting to showcase those special pieces you couldn’t bear to part with.
